CASTOR for windows

supports the structural design, performs a cross section criteria check including buckling and is the first serious method to make forecasts of the steel weight in the first design. Also an ABS-costing module is available.
More information
A new version with an interface to a structure part database and other improvements gets the last finishing touch and will be testes now

Baltic ice class

is an environment program of CASTOR based on the different ice classes according FMA ad deals with:
          o Required engine power
o Scantlings of plates and stiffeners for the three regions

FMA-Required engine power calculation for heavy ice class based on theorie of resistance in an ice chanel using a minimum hull form  parameters

Longitudinal stiffeners

Calculations according class rules. To be used especially for parameter studies and optimizing spacing. (It is also an environment program of Castor and this procedure is imbedded in CASTOR)

Buckling criteria check

Two different programs with different approaches are taking into account two-axial stresses and shear on isotropic plate panels
Each program has two versions:
A single plate field user interface and an interface to external buckling panel data. These files can be exported by other programs i.e. from Castor or a Finite Element program.

Girders and profiles

Section properties with Corrugated bulkheads taking into account corrosion reductions Requried section for a simple line loaded beam

Corrugated bulkheads in tanks according class rules

Tank pressure according class rules

Quick Sail Shallow water navigation planner and simple tidal calculations

Easy Digit Digitize scanned (bitmap) figures and calculates surfaces

Dynamic Container Forces using accelerations as described by Lloyds for Container securing arrangements. 3D forces for a user defined container arrangement

Longitudinal strength
Transverse strength 2-D model of vessels with a large degree of deck opening
Rudder forces and moments

ASC owns more programs and tools to be used for special solutions i.e. 2D-Transverse strength of vessels with a large degree of deck opening and special rules calculations, also for vessels like liquid chemical carriers.

Contact us if your want a solution for your special task. Several of our programs are designed for internal use by ASC only.  We are using these programs in order of third parties
